2012 ● Fall: Founder and Executive Director, Rev. Cynthia F. Burse, began work on her Doctor of Ministry degree, concentration, “Prisons, Public Policy and Transformative Justice” ​ 2013–2015 ● 2013-2015: Fundraising and planning conversations regarding the construction of a container home. In May, Rev. Dr. Cynthia F. Burse completed her degree

*In 2023, The House of Redemption received a settlement from Hamilton Rebuilder/Remodeler, Columbus, Ohio

+In April 2026, judgment was granted to The House of Redemption by the Columbus, OH Court of Common Pleas against Contractor Defendant Container Homes, USA, LLC, Cleveland, OH​

The House of Redemption From Inception to Fruition

The GOD of Creation, who extends love to all who would receive it, has built The House of Redemption on redeeming and consecrated ground, and GOD’s Grace is made visible every time THOR builds a house that becomes a home.
