Purpose

 

​The House of Redemption (THOR) exists to help individuals transition from confinement into safe and supportive homes where they can hope, heal and transform into who they wish to become. Using a person-centered approach, THOR serves to help men, women and young adults overcome social barriers and achieve self-governance and self-sufficiency.

Eligibility Criteria and Application Process

Applicants Must Meet The Following Criteria:

● Age: 18-45 by lease commencement

​ Gender: Female

​ Marital Status: Single

● Have a previous felony conviction(s) and been released at least a year prior to residency

● Have an unstable housing situation

● Able and willing to help maintain the physical upkeep of a home according to standards set by The House of

   Redemption (THOR)

● Be self-motivated

● Be gainfully employed

● Provide two Reference Letters with contact information (one from a reentry official and the other from a personal friend)

● Be willing to assist THOR by completing periodic surveys

● Non-Refundable App Fee: $25

*THOR is unable to accommodate individuals who are wheelchair dependent or were convicted for charges of sexual abuse and/or exploitation
